The Union Public Service Commission conducts Combined Defence Services Exam twice a year. The exams are conducted to recruit candidates to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air force Academy and Officers’ Training Academy.

The details of 2022 recruitment are as follows:

• Indian Military Academy (IMA) – 100 
• Air force Academy – 32 
• Indian Naval Academy – 22 
• Officers Training Academy (OTA), (Men) – 169 
• Officers Training Academy (OTA), (Women) – 169

Education Qualification

Post Name – Education Qualification

• Indian Military Academy (IMA) − Graduation
• Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) − Graduation 
• Air force Academy − Graduation (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level)
• Indian Naval Academy – Graduation Degree in Engineering from recognized University/Institution
